Crispy Air Fryer French Fries

Ingredients:

  • 2 potatoes washed and peeled or not peeled
  • water
  • salt 
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons of oil

Directions:

  • Step 1: wash and peel the potatoes.
  • Step 2: cut the potatoes into fry shapes either with a knife or fry cutter. Then place the cut potatoes in a bowl of cold water with about 2 teaspoons of salt. This brine solution will bring out the starch in the potatoes. Let them soak for 30 minutes.
  • after they are done soaking, drain them and dry them with paper towels or cloth. Step 3: Place them in a bowl and pour the oil over them. Use your hands and mix them around making sure they all get lightly coated in the oil. This light coating will help them "fry" in the air fryer.
  • Step 4: turn on the air fry oven and choose the AIR FRY function, set the temperature to 400°F (176 ℃) and the time to 15 minutes. The oven will preheat automatically.
  • Step 5: place the uncooked potatoes in an air fry basket. Once the preheat cycle is finished, slide the basket back into place and begin cooking.
  • Step 6: after the timer goes off, remove the basket, add some salt, and give it a good shake. Dump the crispy french fries onto a plate with a paper towel. Season and serve! Enjoy.

  • The suggested temperature and time are only for reference. 
  • Be sure to keep an eye on food during cooking to prevent overcooked or uncooked.
